Sunday, August 20th

This Sunday, we’ll be looking at Isaiah 4:2-6. As the Lord continues to reveal His will through the prophet, we see a promise of a future, full of glory – literally, and echoes part of what the Apostle John wrote in Revelation.

As we prepare for worship and hearing God’s word, I would ask you to read these scriptures (hover over the reference for the text):

Exodus 13:15-22

Matthew 26:36-46

Revelation 22:1-7

As you read these verses, think about your past, present and future. Where has God brought you from? Where has he brought you to? Realize that our desire, our will, doesn’t always match what God wills. We see this clearly in Garden Prayer of Jesus. Also, I encourage you to find comfort that God will see you through to the end, just as he brought the Israelites out of Egypt, and just as he has promised to us. The trip may not take us where we want, but the end will be more glorious than the beginning. Our part, through it all, is to continue to trust in our Sovereign Lord.

Solo Deo Gloria,

Jason
