Index of Bible Study Sites
As mentioned in the 3rd BBL class last Sunday, I’m compiling a list of bible study sites that will be posted/updated here.
Crosswalk offers the ability to search and read the bible in multiple translations and utilizes Strong’s numbers. They also have commentaries available.
BibleGateway offers similar services as Crosswalk, but adds Reading Plans, eBooks, and audio bibles.
CCEL is the Christian Classics Ethereal Library@Calvin College and Seminary. They offer digitized volumes of many of the public domain works available. They are free for use and can be converted to various formats The content is widespread – History, Devotionals, Commentaries, Fiction, etc.
The ESV, or English Standard Version, is readable online. You can also hear sections of scripture read if you like.
The Crosswire Project is a free software platform for Bible study. It’s available for PCs, Macs, Linux, and even handheld PDAs. It’s also available online here.
At Crosswire’s study site, you can find a link to the Blue Letter Bible, another online bible search tool. It offers many of the same features as others, like various translations and commentaries.
That’s all for now.
Solo Deo Gloria,
Jason
