Not Counting the Cost
This Sunday, we were blessed to have one of our supported missionaries visiting. Peter Bonner, ministering with ABWE visited and shared not only the pulpit, but some of there experiences ministering in the Ukraine.
Have you ever seen someone on fire for the Lord, especially just after conversion, then only to see that zeal wane? That is not something new to believers in the 20th and 21st centuries. We can see it in the book of Ruth with Naomi’s other daughter-in-law Orpah. When presented with the thought of following her dear mother-in-law, she was excited to go. When serious thought and time entered, there was a change. It’s something you’ve seen, as have I; if not in yourself, definitely in others. But should that affect how we follow the Lord? Listen and be encouraged in your walk and in your mission field.
