My friends,

Andy Surface, remember he spoke last semester, is a senior at HSC. I
have asked him to preach this Sunday as I believe the Lord uses him
in speaking His Word. Here are his recommendations for studying the
background of his sermon. Please add this to your ordinary Bible
reading routine.

Throughout the Bible, Christians are referred to as “adopted children of
God” and “heirs in Christ”. What does it mean for us to be “adopted
children” of the Triune God? What does it mean for us to be an
“heir”? How
does this affect our perspective on life and what implications does this
special status have on our lives? How ought we live our lives in
respect to
this knowledge and what implications does it have on figuring out God’s
will for our lives?
