Fellowship Sermon — August 2, 2009
Dear friends,
Acts 2:42 – what the early church did that we should do as well.
* And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.
*Fellowship? What comes to mind? The changes in our Sunday morning routine are a response to these verses.
* Hebrews 10:24-25 — And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
1 John 1-10 – look for “fellowship”, who is it with and why?
* Why fellowship among believers in John 15 – “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you”
* With whom are we commanded not to have fellowship?
1 Cor. 5:11; 2 Thess. 3:6, 14-15; 2 John 10-11
* Be prepared to listen and be thinking through these verses so we will know what is pleasing to the Lord.
