CALL TO WORSHIP
God’s Steadfast Love
19 Open to me the gates of righteousness:
I will go into them, and I will praise the LORD:
20 This gate of the LORD,
into which the righteous shall enter.
21 I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me,
and art become my salvation.
22 The stone which the builders refused
is become the head stone of the corner.
23 This is the LORD’s doing;
it is marvelous in our eyes.
24 This is the day which the LORD hath made;
we will rejoice and be glad in it.
25 Save now, I beseech thee, O LORD:
O LORD, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.
26 Blessed be he who comes in the name of the LORD:
we have blessed you out of the house of the LORD.
27 God is the LORD, who hath showed us light:
bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the altar.
28 Thou art my God, and I will praise thee:
thou art my God, I will exalt thee.
29 O give thanks unto the LORD;
for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
PRAISE & WORSHIP
I WAS GLAD WHEN THEY SAID UNTO ME
I was glad when they said unto me, I was glad when they said unto me,
I was glad when they said unto me, “Let us go to the house of the Lord.”
So glad, so glad, so glad!

LIKE A TREE
Like a tree, like a tree, I’m like a green olive tree,
in the house, in the house of the Lord.
I will trust in the mercies of God forever, I will trust in the mercies of God.
WE BRING THE SACRIFICE OF PRAISE (Heb. 13:15) by Kirk Dearman
We bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the Lord!
We bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the Lord,
And we offer up to You the sacrifices of thanksgiving,
and we offer up to You the sacrifices of joy.

UNTO THE HOUSE OF THE LORD by John Bagniewski
I rejoiced when they said to me,
“Let us go unto the house of the Lord,”
standing there, O Jerusalem, in your gates
unto the house of the Lord.
Look upon Jerusalem, the city now restored.
Here the tribes of Yahweh come as one unto the Lord.
As He ordered Israel, they come to praise His name
Here where courts of justice, the courts of David reign.
Pray for peace, Jerusalem, prosperity at home,
Peace inside your city walls that comes from God alone.
Since we are God’s people, I say, “Peace be to you!”
May the God who dwells in us your happiness renew.

MINISTRY OF THE WORD
Scripture: Genesis 17:1-8
Sermon: Preparing for What’s Next
ONE BIG IDEA
We are called to reflect on who God is and who we are called to be and to live into that truth wholeheartedly.
1) Remember the promise.
2) Remember your rebellion.
3) Remember your strength.
RESPONSE TO THE PREACHED WORD
DAYS OF ELIJAH, words and music by Robin Mark
These are the days of Elijah,
declaring the Word of the Lord;
And these are the days of Your servant, Moses,
righteousness being restored;
And though these are days of great trials,
of famine and darkness and sword,
Still we are the voice in the desert crying,
“Prepare ye the way of the Lord.”
Behold He comes, riding on the clouds,
shining like the sun at the trumpet call;
Lift your voice, it’s the year of Jubilee,
and out of Zion’s hill salvation comes.
And these are the days of Ezekiel,
the dry bones becoming as flesh;
And these are the days of Your servant,
David, rebuilding a temple of praise;
And these are the days of the harvest—
the fields are as white in the world;
And we are the laborers in Your vineyard,
declaring the Word of the Lord.
There is no god like Jehovah. (repeat)

SURELY GOODNESS AND MERCY by John W. Peterson & Alfred B. Smith, after Psalm 23 (HYMN 292)
A pilgrim was I, and a-wand’ring,
In the cold night of sin did I roam,
When Jesus the kind Shepherd found me,
And now I am on my way home.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days, all the days of my life;
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days, all the days of my life.
He restoreth my soul when I’m weary,
He giveth me strength day by day;
He leads me beside the still waters,
He guards me each step of the way.
When I walk through the dark lonesome valley,
My Savior will walk with me there;
And safely His great hand will lead me
To the mansions He’s gone to prepare.
And I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever,
And I shall feast at the table spread for me.
