For a livestream of the service, click here at 10 am on Sunday morning. Afterwards it will be available at the same link as a recording. If it doesn’t work properly at 10, it might mean we had a technical issue. If so, we will send out a new link to the recording.

CALL TO WORSHIP

ACTS 8:34-39
34 The Ethiopian eunuch said to Philip,
“About whom, I ask you, does the prophet say this,
about himself or about someone else?”
35 Then Philip opened his mouth,
and beginning with this Scripture he told him
the good news about Jesus.
36 And as they were going along the road
they came to some water, and the eunuch said,
“See, here is water! What prevents me from being baptized?”
38 And he commanded the chariot to stop,
and they both went down into the water,
Philip and the eunuch, and he baptized him.
39 And when they came up out of the water,
the Spirit of the Lord carried Philip away,
and the eunuch saw him no more,
but went on his way rejoicing.

PRAISE & WORSHIP

EVERLASTING by Brian Doerksen and Matt Unruh
From everlasting to everlasting, You are God;
From everlasting to everlasting, You are God.

In holiness You stand secure through culture’s shifting sands,
unchanged by all the vanities of man;
And as the nations rise and fall, Your sovereignty remains;
You are, You are, You are the one true God.

From everlasting to everlasting, You are God;
From everlasting to everlasting, You are God.

In faithfulness Your love extends through times of turbulence,
adopting those who call upon Your name;
And every generation joins in songs of grateful praise;
You are, You are, You are the one true God.

From everlasting to everlasting, You are God;
From everlasting to everlasting, You are God.

Eternal, immortal, invisible God. (repeat)

BE IT UNTO ME by Don Moen & Claire Cloninger
You promised your blood will deliver;
Lord, we believe it’s true;
You’ve promised us joy like a river;
Lord, we receive it from You.
These things you have spoken
and You’re bringing to pass;
This world’s disappearing,
but Your Word will last. So. . .

Be it unto me according to Your Word;
according to Your promises, Carve upon my heart
the truth that sets me free, according to Your Word, O Lord,
be it unto me.

You promised to carry our sorrows;
Lord, we believe it’s true;
You’ve promised unending tomorrows;
Lord, we receive them from You.
You’ll be our provider;
in Your Word it’s revealed;
By the stripes that you bore,
Lord, we have been healed. So. . .

FROM THE INSIDE OUT by Joel Houston
A thousand times I’ve failed. Still Your mercy remains,
And should I stumble again, I’m caught in Your grace.
Everlasting, Your light will shine when all else fades.
Never ending, Your glory goes beyond all fame.

Your will above all else!
My purpose remains
The art of losing myself
In bringing You praise.
Everlasting, Your light will shine when all else fades.
Never ending, Your glory goes beyond all fame.

In my heart and my soul, Lord, I give You control.
Consume me from the inside out!
Lord, let justice and praise become my embrace,
To love you from the inside out.

Everlasting, Your light will shine when all else fades.
Never ending, Your glory goes beyond all fame.
And the cry of my heart is to bring You praise
From the inside out: Lord, my soul cries out.

MINISTRY OF THE WORD

Scripture: Psalm 112

SERMON: Seek His Kingdom
Luke 12:13-34

ONE BIG IDEA
Seek the kingdom and share the treasure.

1) Place your security in eternal investments.

2) Replace worry with trust.

3) As we experience the kingdom, we are to freely share the kingdom.

RESPONSE TO THE PREACHED WORD

YOU SHINE by Brian Doerksen
Why should I fear man
When You made the heavens?
Why should I be afraid
When You put the stars in place?
Why should I lose heart
When I know how great You are?
Why should I give up
When Your plans are full of love?

In this world we will have trouble
But You have overcome the world.

You shine
Brighter than the brightest star.
Your love’s
Purer than the purest heart.
You shine
Filling us with courage and strength
To follow You.

In this world we will have trouble,
But You have overcome the world,
But You have overcome the world.

CONGREGATIONAL PRAYER

CHRIST, OUR HOPE IN LIFE AND DEATH by Keith Getty, Matt Boswell, Jordan Kauflin, Matt Merker, Matt Papa
What is our hope in life and death?
Christ alone, Christ alone.
What is our only confidence?
That our souls to him belong.
Who holds our days within his hand?
What comes, apart from his command?
And what will keep us to the end?
The love of Christ, in which we stand.

O sing hallelujah! Our hope springs eternal;
O sing hallelujah! Now and ever we confess
Christ our hope in life and death.

What truth can calm the troubled soul?
God is good, God is good.
Where is his grace and goodness known?
In our great Redeemer’s blood.
Who holds our faith when fears arise?
Who stands above the stormy trial?
Who sends the waves that bring us nigh
Unto the shore, the rock of Christ?

Unto the grave, what shall we sing?
“Christ, he lives; Christ, he lives!”
And what reward will heaven bring?
Everlasting life with him.
There we will rise to meet the Lord,
Then sin and death will be destroyed,
And we will feast in endless joy,
When Christ is ours forevermore.
