CALL TO WORSHIP
12 Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial,
for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life,
which God has promised to those who love him.
13 Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,”
for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one.
14 But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed
by his own desire.
15 Then desire, when it has conceived, gives birth to sin,
and sin, when it is fully grown, brings forth death.
16 Do not be deceived, my beloved brothers.
17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above,
coming down from the Father of lights,
with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.
18 Of his own will he brought us forth by the word of truth,
so that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.
PRAISE & WORSHIP
LOVE DIVINE, ALL LOVES EXCELLING (HYMN 2) by Charles Wesley
Love divine, all loves excelling, joy of heaven to earth come down;
Fix in us thy humble dwelling; all thy faithful mercies crown!
Jesus, Thou art all compassion, pure unbounded love Thou art;
Visit us with Thy salvation; enter every trembling heart.
Breathe, O breathe Thy loving Spirit, into every troubled breast!
Let us all in Thee inherit; let us find that second rest.
Take away our bent to sinning; Alpha and Omega be;
End of faith, as its Beginning, set our hearts at liberty.
Come, Almighty to deliver, let us all Thy life receive;
Suddenly return and never, never more Thy temples leave.
Thee we would be always blessing, serve Thee as Thy hosts above,
Pray and praise Thee without ceasing, glory in Thy perfect love.
Finish, then, Thy new creation; pure and spotless let us be.
Let us see Thy great salvation perfectly restored in Thee;
Changed from glory into glory, till in heaven we take our place,
Till we cast our crowns before Thee, lost in wonder, love, and praise.
WE FALL DOWN by Chris Tomlin
We fall down, we lay our crowns at the feet of Jesus:
The greatness of his mercy and love at the feet of Jesus.
We cry Holy, Holy, Holy! We cry Holy, Holy, Holy!
We cry Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lamb.

LORD, I NEED YOU by Matt Maher
Lord, I come, I confess, Bowing here I find my rest.
Without You I fall apart. You’re the One that guides my heart.
Lord, I need You, oh, I need You! Every hour I need You!
My one defense, my righteousness, Oh God, how I need You!
Where sin runs deep Your grace is more;
Where grace is found is where You are.
Where You are, Lord, I am free; Holiness is Christ in me.
So teach my song to rise to You when temptation comes my way.
When I cannot stand I’ll fall on You. Jesus, You’re my hope and stay.
Lord, I need You, oh, I need You—every hour I need You:
My one defense, my righteousness. Oh God, how I need You!
You’re my one defense, my righteousness. Oh God, how I need You!
IN CHRIST ALONE by Keith Getty & Stuart Townend
In Christ alone my hope is found:
He is my light, my strength, my song—
This Cornerstone, this solid Ground,
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm!
What heights of love, what depths of peace
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease!
My Comforter, my All in All! Here in the love of Christ I stand.
In Christ alone! —who took on flesh,
Fullness of God in helpless babe!
This Gift of love and righteousness,
Scorned by the ones He came to save,
Till on that cross as Jesus died
The wrath of God was satisfied—
For every sin on Him was laid: Here in the death of Christ I live.
There in the ground His body lay,
Light of the world by darkness slain,
Then bursting forth in glorious Day,
Up from the grave He rose again!
And as He stands in victory
Sin’s curse has lost its grip on me,
For I am His and He is mine—Bought with the precious blood of Christ.
No guilt in life, no fear in death:
This is the power of Christ in me;
From life’s first cry to final breath
Jesus commands my destiny.
No power of hell, no scheme of man,
Can ever pluck me from His hand
Till he returns or calls me home; Here in the power of Christ I’ll stand!

ONE BIG IDEA
The strength of our deliverer and the encouragement of our faith family ensure the gospel’s continued proclamation.
1) We are called to incline people’s ears to the truth of the word of God.
2) We are never truly alone.
3) We are deeply connected to one another through the bonds of grace.
RESPONSE TO THE PREACHED WORD
TAKE MY LIFE AND LET IT BE (Hymn 393)
Take my life and let it be consecrated, Lord, to Thee;
Take my hands and let them move at the impulse of Thy love (repeat).
Take my feet and let them be swift and beautiful for Thee;
Take my voice and let me sing always, only, for my King (repeat).
Take my lips and let them be filled with messages for Thee;
Take my silver and my gold—not a mite would I withhold (repeat).
Take my love—my God, I pour at Thy feet its treasure store;
Take myself and I will be ever only all for Thee (repeat).
FOR ALL THE SAINTS (HYMN 508) by William Howe
For all the saints, who from their labors rest,
Who Thee by faith before the world confessed,
Thy Name, O Jesus, be forever blessed. Alleluia, Alleluia!
Thou wast their Rock, their Fortress and their Might;
Thou, Lord, their Captain in the well fought fight;
Thou, in the darkness drear, their one true Light. Alleluia, Alleluia!
O blest communion, fellowship divine!
We feebly struggle, they in glory shine;
All are one in Thee, for all are Thine. Alleluia, Alleluia!
O may Thy soldiers, faithful, true and bold,
Fight as the saints who nobly fought of old,
And win with them the victor’s crown of gold. Alleluia, Alleluia!
And when the strife is fierce, the warfare long,
Steals on the ear the distant triumph song,
And hearts are brave, again, and arms are strong. Alleluia, Alleluia!
From earth’s wide bounds, from ocean’s farthest coast,
Through gates of pearl streams in the countless host,
And singing to Father, Son, and Holy Ghost: Alleluia, Alleluia!
