4 When you read this, you can perceive my insight into the mystery
of Christ, 5 which was not made known to the sons of men
in other generations as it has now been revealed
to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit.
6 This mystery is that the Gentiles are fellow heirs,
members of the same body, and partakers of the promise
in Christ Jesus through the gospel.

7 Of this gospel I was made a minister according to the gift
of God’s grace, which was given me by the working of his power.
8 To me, though I am the very least of all the saints,
this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles
the unsearchable riches of Christ, 9 and to bring to light for everyone what is the plan of the mystery hidden for ages in God,
who created all things, 10 so that through the church
the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known
to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places.
11 This was according to the eternal purpose that he has realized
in Christ Jesus our Lord, 12 in whom we have boldness and access
with confidence through our faith in him.

The hymns we sing today were sung 50 years ago, on the
12th of September 1970, at the wedding of Deborah and Richard McClintock.
Sing them today to God’s glory and in thankfulness for that wondrous
half-century of love and companionship.

Praise ye the Lord, the almighty, the king of creation!
O my soul, praise him, for he is thy health and salvation!
All ye who hear, now to his temple draw near,
Joining in glad adoration!

Praise ye the Lord, who o’er all things so wondrously reigneth,
Shelters thee under his wings, yea, so gently sustaineth!
Hast thou not seen how thy desires e’er have been
Granted in what he ordaineth?

Praise ye the Lord, who with marvelous wisdom hath made thee,
Decked thee with health, and with loving hand guided and stayed thee;
How oft in grief hath not he brought thee relief,
Spreading his wings for to shade thee!

Praise ye the Lord! O let all that is in us adore him!
All that hath life and breath, come now with praises before him!
Let the Amen sound from his people again:
Gladly forever adore him!

How firm a foundation, ye saints of the Lord,
is laid for your faith in his excellent word!
What more can he say than to you he hath said,
to you who for refuge to Jesus have fled?

“Fear not, I am with thee, O be not dismayed,
for I am thy God and will still give thee aid;
I’ll strengthen and help thee, and cause thee to stand
upheld by my righteous, omnipotent hand.

“When through the deep waters I call thee to go,
the rivers of woe shall not thee overflow;
for I will be with thee, thy troubles to bless,
and sanctify to thee thy deepest distress.

“When through fiery trials thy pathways shall lie,
my grace, all-sufficient, shall be thy supply;
the flame shall not hurt thee; I only design
thy dross to consume, and thy gold to refine.”

“The soul that on Jesus hath leaned on repose,
I will not, I will not desert to its foes;
That soul, though all hell should endeavor to shake,
I’ll never—no, never—no, never forsake!”

All hail the pow’r of Jesus’ name! Let angels prostrate fall;
Bring forth the royal diadem, and crown Him Lord of all;
Bring forth the royal diadem, and crown Him Lord of all!

Ye chosen seed of Israel’s race, Ye ransomed from the fall,
Hail Him who saves you by His grace, And crown Him Lord of all;
Hail Him who saves you by His grace, And crown Him Lord of all!

Let ev’ry kindred, ev’ry tribe, on this terrestrial ball,
To Him all majesty ascribe, and crown Him Lord of all;
To Him all majesty ascribe, and crown Him Lord of all!

O that with yonder sacred throng we at His feet may fall!
We’ll join the everlasting song, and crown Him Lord of all;
We’ll join the everlasting song, and crown Him Lord of all!

Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty!
Early in the morning our song shall rise to Thee;
Holy, Holy, Holy! Merciful and Mighty!
God in Three Persons, blessed Trinity!

Holy, Holy, Holy! All the saints adore Thee,
Casting down their golden crowns around the glassy sea;
Cherubim and seraphim falling down before Thee,
Which wert and art and evermore shalt be.

Holy, Holy, Holy! Though the darkness hide Thee,
Though the eye of sinful man Thy glory may not see;
Only Thou art holy—there is none beside Thee
Perfect in pow’r, in love and purity.

Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty!
All Thy works shall praise Thy name in earth and sky and sea;
Holy, Holy, Holy! Merciful and Mighty!
God in Three Persons, blessed Trinity!

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth.
And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended among the dead.
On the third day He rose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand
of God the Father Almighty.
From there He will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.

The bread is in the cup underneath the wine or juice.
Grape juice is gold; wine is purple. The communion bread is gluten-free.

All believers are invited to share in the remembrance of the Lord’s redemptive sacrifice on our behalf. We welcome to the Lord’s Table all Christians who acknowledge their sins, who trust that Christ Jesus died for the forgiveness
of their sins, who recognize that the Bread and Wine represent the sacrifice
of Christ for us, and who desire to live a life pleasing to the Lord.

(MATTHEW 26:26-28; I CORINTHIANS 10:16 & 11:25-32; ROMANS 12:1-2)

When morning gilds the skies my heart awaking cries:
May Jesus Christ be praised!
Alike at work and prayer, to Jesus I repair:
May Jesus Christ be praised!

Does sadness fill my mind? A solace here I find,
May Jesus Christ be praised!
Or fades my earthly bliss? My comfort still is this,
May Jesus Christ be praised!

In Heav’n’s eternal bliss the loveliest strain is this,
May Jesus Christ be praised!
The powers of darkness fear when this sweet chant they hear:
May Jesus Christ be praised!

Be this, while life is mine, my canticle divine:
May Jesus Christ be praised!
Be this th’eternal song through all the ages long:
May Jesus Christ be praised!
